We all ended the weekend excited and full of energy for the Playa!
Thanks to everyone who generously donated booze and to the few folks that gave us some money. Please watch for an email from Tres with Kim's address to send your donations to so that we can be as generous as we hope to be with the Nomadic Cafe!
We are attaching the file with the supply list and please also note the second tab on this spreadsheet with a schedule of who is arriving and when and some of the pre-planned Cafe events. If you have an idea for a specific time or event that you want to add, just email Tres at Tres_Fontaine@yahoo.com and we'll update the schedule as we get closer to the departure date.
Also if you have additional ideas you want us to add to the list that you think will be helpful to the others, please let us know.

Here is a sampling of Nomadic Gypsy photos that I've been gathering....
First the good news: We got almost the same location for our camp as far as we can tell. It looks like we are on the loop again, this year called the "Wheel of Fortune" and a block or so farther to the back. As we begin emailing with our "placement" person, we will try to get more details (more exact location on that block and exposure/side of the street) For now, check out this map and imagine that we are already there.

Progress has been slow in Psychic Taxi Nomadic land. Chief engineer and favorite whipping boy Skyve, aka jalle, aka jack, said recently that had he known how hard it was to build a bar car, especially a human powered one he would have stuck with Kim and Pam and Laura's little red wagon idea. But never a quitter, ...ok not always a quitter, he is sticking to his welder and plans to have the bar roughed out by the end of July. About the problems faced he says, "Well you gotcher steel tubing and yer bicycle wheels and they have to somehow be hooked together, and you gotcher zinc counter top and flashing logo sign and by cracky that isn't even counting yer blasted tandem bicycle." Skyve seems to be in top spirits as the deadlines pile up around him.
Our nomadic cafe will be pulled (like our rickshaw) by a side by side tandem bicycle and we are planning to rove the playa as the Psychic Nomadic Gypsies of hope, nomadic costuming is de rigueur and lively serving wenches will be in attendance. Our goal is service and fun, not necessarily in that order. At least one night we will be teaming up with an DJ David Lienheart to be the core of a playa dance party. Other times we will set up in the deep playa to be a way station for distant and lonesome travelers, still other times serving refreshments on the edge of some fantastic impromptu happening tickles our fancy. Still other times we will host hooping and dancing events, with our own hoops and music, in both the full darkness and glorious dawns in the deep playa. We have a small but dedicated staff of long time vets and newbies all eager to serve.
On or about June 27th a secret committee with secrets and secret intent met in secret to determine the formula for the mystical “Elixir of Hope” and the “Tonic for Fear” that will power at least some nights of the Psychic Taxi’s Nomadic Café. The decisions made are SECRET, but please visit us on the Playa during Burning Man and taste the results for yourself.
Back at our relaxing home-base, you can visit our psychic booth, where there are signs which indicate whether the psychic is in, out, or YOU, in which case we receive of your gifts.
We also offer a beautiful shaded chill space in hammocks for setting the mood neccesary to gain access to ones unconcious.
